What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is a social event where creative people come together to "hack" together a cool idea in a short period of time. Ideas range from mobile apps, to video games, to phone controlled light bulbs and more! The hacking is typically fast, furious, and nonstop until something's built - prepare your stamina!

Hackathons are also a great way to collaborate and network with fellow tech enthusiasts in your area!

HackVandy

HackVandy will be a hackathon hosted by VandyMobile at Vanderbilt University. 

At then end of the weekend, the participants will present  their finished (or unfinished) projects, and the top teams will receive prizes and bragging rights for the year.

But don't worry! There will plenty of giveaways, pizza, and entertainment for everyone all weekend!
